The Reform Jewish Community of Atlantic Canada is excited to celebrate 6 months of being! Thanks to your interest and attendance, this progressive and inclusive Reform Jewish community is growing rapidly. 

We are delighted to let you know about 3 upcoming events:

1. Introduction to Judaism Virtual Classes

This Monday at 5PM Atlantic (5:30 PM NFLD/4 PM Eastern) Rabbi Dr. N. Siritsky, MSSW, RSW, BCC, Founding Rabbi for Reform Judaism in Atlantic Canada will be joined by Rabbi Julie Zupan Director of Jewish Engagement and Learning with the Union of Reform Judaism to talk about virtual Reform Jewish education opportunities available.  

In particular, there will be 3 exciting options: (a) Introduction to Judaism online classes for people new to Judaism (either people wishing to convert or those who are Jewish but just looking to learn more about Judaism and in particular, Reform Judaism), (b) Jewish and New-ish online community for those who have converted to Judaism in the past 5 years and are looking for extra support in their journey (to learn more: https://reformjudaism.org/learning/judaism-classes/jewish-new-ish) and (c) Introduction to Hebrew virtual classes with the Union of Reform Judaism.

2. Virtual Reform Jewish Shabbat Services 

Friday, November 4th at 6 PM Atlantic (6:30 PM NFLD/5 PM Eastern) Rabbi Dr. N. Siritsky, MSSW, RSW, BCC, Founding Rabbi for Reform Judaism in Atlantic Canada will lead Shabbat services. As always, services are virtual, interactive and accessible, with prayers that are primarily in English and reflective of progressive social justice values of inclusion, with a specific focus on welcoming 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and interfaith families. 3. Virtual Open House for Reform Judaism in Atlantic Canada 

Rabbi Dr. N. Siritsky, MSSW, RSW, BCC, Founding Rabbi for Reform Judaism in Atlantic Canada will lead an interactive open house for all those interested in learning more and becoming involved in creating a new and innovative Reform Jewish Community in Atlantic Canada that is primarily virtual and grounded in progressive social justice values of inclusion, with a specific focus on welcoming 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and interfaith families.
